To find a high efficiency and low cost technology used for advanced wastewater treatment has great importance not only to boost water reclaimation industry but also to help water environment recovery. So as a novel advanced wastewater treatment technology, Biological aerated filter(BAF) process is carefully studied in this thesis for deeply treatment of secondary effluent water from WWTP reused for urban municipal water. Biological aerated filter(BAF) process is a promising and remarkable advanced wastewater treatment technology.The average in winter of CODCr,BOD5,turbidity are 61.4 mg/L,12.1 mg/L,5.7NTU.The removal rate of those are 39%,55%,47% respectively;the average of those and ammonia nitrogen in summer achieve 46.9mg/L,4.4mg/L,2.4NTU,6.3mg/Land the removal rate are 31%,70%,70%,25,which essentially adapt the water quality criteria of《Urban Wastewater Reuse-Urban municipal water quality criteria 》( GB/T18920-2002 ). biofilms filter can acquire good results in microoganism.The germs lowere a piece measure class on the total amount which make the later disinfection easier. The effect of BAF is better than the ordinary quartz sand filter.The ameliorative rate of CODCr ,BOD5 ,turbidity are 21% ,33.5% ,21% respectively; the average of those and ammonia nitrogen in summer attain the 17%,41%,53.8%,23%.The ameliorative rate of microoganism is 85% above. Hydraulic loading has the effect on BAF.The effluent water quality become worse and the removal rate decrease with the increasing of the hydraulic loading.The ameliorative rate is almost zero when the hydraulic loading reach 5m~3/m~2·h.It is suitable to work in low hydraulic loading in winter,while the biofilms filter in summer is still stable when it is 7m~3/m~2·s The back wash of BAF Adopts air-water wash . Air intensity is 13~17L/m~2·s,water intensity is 5~7L/m~2·s,the period to backwash is 10~15 minutes for a day.Naturally cultivating the microorganism This article expound the mechanism and character of BAF.It is a water...
