Aiming at the injury problem of ethametsulfliron to succeeding rice, we screened a certain antidote from herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators which have been widely used. This paper described the antidotal effect of N to ethametsulfliron, using bioassay measure in the room, bioassay methods in greenhouse simulated ethametsulfliron residual exam, and the mechanism of N for reducing the phytotoxicity of ethametsulfliron on rice was done on the base of former studies. The main results were listed as followed:1. To study the sensitivity of five different rice species to react to ethametsulfliron, it can be found liangyoupeijiu was the most sensitive among the five rice species, and the IC50 of rice main root length of liangyoupeijiu to ethametsulfliron were 2.48mg/L in water and 3.03μg/kg in soil respectively.2. A certain antidote had been firstly selected. The antidotal effect test showed: N can alleviate harmful effect to the succeeding rice at the concentration between 0.5μg/kg and 40μg/kg when soil ethametsulfliron was 1μg/kg, with 10μg/kg being the optimum. The 10μg/kg N can reduce the phytotoxity to different extent when ethametsulfliron was under 20μg/kg in soil.3. Greenhouse experiment demonstrated that N can protect the succeeding rice from 0.1~20μg/kg ethametsulfliron damage. The rice yield increase 6.3%, 12.3%, 21.2%, 23.7%, 40.4% respectively when different ethametsulfliron treatment mixed 10μg/kg N in soil. At the same time, N had little tendency to accelerate the degradation of ethametsulfliron.4. The mechanism of N reducing the phytotoxicity of ethametsulfuron to rice was studied through the physiological and biochemical experiments. The results showed that the N increased chlorophyll content, root activity, GSH content and GST activity. But it had little influence on ALS specific activity in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, one possible mechanism was that N increased rice physiological effect in adversity. The other plausible mechansim may catalyse the conjugation of...
