Preparation Of Smoker Generator (FU)

The greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood, is one of the most devastating agricultural pests in the world. It is difficult to achieve efficiently chemical control. It is crucial to find new formulation of laborsaving & timesaving methods and decreasing humidity. The smoker generator (FU) of buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin, a new formulation that meet the needs, have been developed. By means of spraying method for bioassay, the optimal rations of buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin were determined. Its Co-toxicity Co-efficient of the optimal rations was 149.43. According to theories of heat domino effects and the highest temperature of combustion reaction, the rations of oxidant & combustible material and retarding agent & smoke-generating agent have been determined. The smoker generator contains beta-cypermethrin 1.2, buprofezin 8.8, NH4NO3 40.5, sawdust 27, ammonium chloride 18, and adjuvant 4.5 parts. A analytical method of HPLC for buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin has been established. By the related universal standard of pesticide, the quality indexes for 10% buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin (smoker generator) was established, it is including content of buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin, smoke ratios of activity ingredient, temperature of combustion, safety. The techic indexes of 10% buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin (smoker generator) are as follows: 1 The smoke ratios of activity ingredient of buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin is more than 85%, 80%, respectively. 2 The composition should appear as powder without any granule. 3 The smoker generator should be easily ignited. 4 The temperature of combustion is 450±25 ℃. 5 The smoke generator should be safety in store. The results of field trials showed that Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood) could be effectively controlled by smoke 200 (a.i) g/ha of buprofezin & beta-cypermethrin, and no side effect was observed. As a competitive new product,the patent has been applied.
