All previous studies on the cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber agglomeration process are summarized. Components in the agglomeration tank and diversified technical parameters which affect mixing effect are discussed specifically. The disposal after polymerization of cis-l,4-polybutadiene rubber is introduced, particularly in the aspect of agglomeration principle, technical flow and parameters as while as other factors which affect agglomeration efficiency. Problem of solvent recycle is also covered. The behavior of rubber granule mixing in the hot water of the agglomeration process is introduced, which provides theoretical bases for the experimental and simulation study.A cold pilot experimental study for the performance of cis-l,4-polybutadiene rubber agglomeration process has been performed. In a gas-liquid-solid system, key components in the simulated agglomeration tank have been studied, which include impellers, baffles and factors related to mixing conditions, such as rotate speed and gas flux. The experiment model is designed similarly to the true process and the feasible project had been put forward. The mixing time of the system is measured by using the conductance method, and Na2SO4 is used as a tracer.Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is adopted to calculate the process of stirring in the cis-l,4-polybutadiene rubber agglomeration tank fluid field using Multiple Reference Frame (MRF) and k-e model. Different form of impellers and...
