Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) is a promising process of extractive separation. It is very significant to study on SFE in view of favorable of applied prospect. In recent years, a great deal of investigations on the theory and the application, especially on the solubility of solid solute in the SCF/cosolvent mixture, have been carried out. For the diversification of many kinds of solute, the systematization of the solubility measurement needs more work to do, Especially the ones with the presence of the cosolvent still cannot meet the need of theoretical development. So the solubility measurement and the phase equilibrium study on SFE is very important fundamental aspect.Since it is necessary for the application, the phase equilibria of solid solute in SC CO2 is regarded as a very important part of the studies on the supercritical technology. The solubility of solid solute such as benzoic acid, propylparaben and anthracene in SC-CO2 with cosolvent was measured by the SCF solubility experimental set. The cosolvents include ethanol, 1-propanol, glycol, acetone, butanone, ethyl acetate, hexane, cyclohexane, and the mixed cosolvents include ethanol+ethyl acetate, acetone+cyclohexane, hexane+1-propanol. The experimental temperature is from 308.15 to 328.15K, and the pressure is from 8.0 to 23.0 MPa.The cosolvent plays an important role in the solubility of the solute in SCF and the action mechanism was analyzed in this paper. The effectof physical and structural parameters, relative molecular weight, molecular structure of the consolvents, the mixed consolvent and the change of concentration the consolvent were discussed. The theoretical analysis showed that the hydrogen bonding between the molecules and the polar cosolvent imposed on the solubility of solid solute in SCF strongly.
