The most important thing for everyone is to deal well with the crisis of water shortage now. The viable way to the crisis is to rationally use available water resources. The crisis would be alleviated on the whole level if all treated wastewater could apply to water of industry, agriculture and life. Nanometer semiconducting material has been used widely to treat various kinds wastwater, and shown obvious practical results. The thesis focused on treating the dyestuffs with the catalyst in the simulated wastewater. The treatment is actually the photocatalysis with the powder of nanometer semiconducting material, which was inorganic coated and pretreated. Powder of nanometer titanium dioxide has usually a better effect than films, which were loaded on the surface of some solid materials. Self-prepared photo-catalyst TiO2 in suspending reaction system has another advantage: it is easily separated from the wastewater, and recycled. The main ingredient of simulated wastewater is the reactive blue 19, which belongs to anthraquinone dyes.We studied the influencing factors of the photocatalysis. Those external factors include the use amount of catalyst, initial concentration of the dyestuff, pH value, illuminated distance and light source. The comparison of degradation effect was made between the self-preparation catalyst and P25 TiO2. The kinetics discipline of photocatalysis to the...
