Ethanol fermentation from pentose is the key technology which use the plant fibre resources economically and workably manufacture ethanol. The main research contents of this task are stem selection, optimization of ferment condition and synthetical application about ethanol fermentation from pentose. Our laboratory got 156 strains from the nature, which can ferment xylose to ethanol. Through selecting again got 12 strains. At last we selected fermentation performance steady stain 1125-3 which fermentation performance was researched. Fermentation 72h, the utilization ratio of xylose is 62.52%, the ethanol yield rate is 10.62%. After domestication and cultivation, fermentation 72h, the utilization ratio of xylose is 92.92%, the ethanol yield rate is 12.88%. The strain 1125-3 ferment 2.5% glucose add 2.5% xylose, the ethanol yield rate attain the glucose fermentation level. After separation, selection, domestication and cultivation, our laboratory got an excellent pachysolen tannophilus strain g-13, which can ferment xylose to ethanol. Its optimum temperature is 30℃. Its optimum constant rotation speed is 100r/min. Its fermentation xylose to ethanol ability is most powerful when xylose concentration is 50g/1. On the optimum condition, the transform rate is 0.446 g/g (g ethanol /g xylose consumed). The strain can produce fuel ethanol by pentose from lignocellulosic hydrolysates. The pachysolen tannophilus strain g-13 can ferment xylose and glucose to ethanol. The main shares are xylose and glucose in the...
