LiCoO2 is the preferred material in majority of the commercial cells in view of its high reversibility and theoretical capacity. But the practice capacity and anti-overcharge ability of LiCoO2 are poor. It is possible due to structural degradation with the extent of deintercalation of lithium to 0.5. We introduce M2+ (M=Ca2+, Mg2+, Cd2+) into the interlayer galleries in the LiCoO2 system in order to hold back structural degradation under overcharge. In the end , we obtain the pillared layered Li1-2xMxCoO2 (M=Ca2+, Mg2+, Cd2+) electrode materials. In this paper, we have prepared LiCoO2 precursor by citric acid sol-gel method. The pillared layered Li1-2xMxCoO2 (M=Ca2+, Mg2+, Cd2+) electrode materials have been obtained for the first time by an ion exchange reaction. We have optimized the tecnics and chosen the best solution, reation time and temperature. With calcinations method, we have...
