The aim of this paper is to obtain a kind of new porous microsphere from raw urushiol.This kind of porous microsphere must have high strength , good heat-resistant quality and chemical solvents resistance.We hope that this kind of porous microsphere can be used for filter medium in special condition or can be modified properly to get functional material.We gained the porous microsphere from urushiol and formaldehyde by suspension polymerization. We have discussed the various factors, which affect the polymerization and particle characters:(l) Applicability of inorganic powder and polymer stabilizer in urushiol suspension polymerization system;(2) The effects of amount of stabilizer on polymer beads diameter; (3) From the aspect of agitation, we have discussed the effects of agitation speed on particles diameter;(4) We have discussed the effects of self-polymerization of urushiol on suspension polymerization and diameter of porous microsphere. (5) The effects of catalyst amount, reaction temperature and pre-dispersion time and Fe3+ were also studied.By SEM.IR and DSC-TG characterization techniques, we have explained the relationship between polymer structure and properties.We also study the chemical solvents resistance and sorption capacity of microsphere.As the results of experiment showed,the porous microspheres not only have good heat-resistant quality and chemical solvents resistance,but also have good properties of absorbing polyamide and heavy metal ions such as Pb2+,Cd2+,Cu2+.
