NOX controlling is an emergent problem at present because of its influence on environment, climate and people's health. Power plants' coal combustion is the main source of NOX emission. But so far as the problem appeared, people still understand little knowledge about the mechanism of the Fuel-NOX production and complexity.Combustion experiment was taken part with a fixed-bed reactor. Temperature was controlled by KSY intelligent equipment and flue gas was monitored on line by ROSEMOUNT analyzing equipment. We studied Fuel-N release characteristics of Geliping anthracite coal and Shenmu, jihua bituminous coal at first, we found Fuel-NOX increased as temperature and excess air coefficient. All of these can offer some theoretic bases and data support to low NOX combustion system's development and design.Secondly CaO, Na2CO3 and Mg(CH3COO)2 was added into pulverized coal in order to make up three proportion samples with three additives. NOX of samples was compared to those of raw coals so as to found the NO and N2O release characteristics and conversion ratio in the same condition. Simultaneously many kinds of conditions were compared in order to found the best experiment condition of each additives. Finally those samples with three additives were compared which we could found the best additive with catalysis in different conditions. We could support theoretic bases for NOX-catalyzing with all of these and advised some ideas for improving experiment.
