The technology of MEOR(microbial enhanced oil recovery) has been elementarily applied in some oilfields in our country, such as the application of microbial permeability modification and displacement in Jilin oilfield, Shengli oilfield, Huabei oilfield, the indigenous microbe live cores experiments of Dagang oilfield, the application of microbial paraffin removal and microbial treatment of Liaohe oilfield, etc. The applications in live cores show that, MEOR technology in the suited condition of reservoir can get a good result. However, there is relatively closed about the application of MEOR in oilfields, which causes some problems such as the research institute can't make up mutually, and excellent microbes can't be applied in oilfiled prior to other microbes, the waste of strains, the problem that the corresponding microbial strains can't be chosen rapidly according to the condition of reservoir, etc.The research of microbial strain is the chief and key factor of MEOR. The problem that strain isn't uniform and shared has become the bottleneck of the further study of MEOR and application of strain in oilfield, therefore, building the information system for MEOR is on the schedule.
