The state of flame burning in tuyere and raceway of blast furnace plays very crucial role in the process of ironmaking. However, difficulties for observation and temperature measurement will be added owing to high temperature, high pressure, complex reaction, adverse circumstances for pulverized coal as well as the smallness for the spy hole of the tuyere. Aiming at the discontinuity of the current direct temperature measurement in the tuyere and raceway of blast furnace and inaccuracy for indirect temperature measurement, this article makes a deep research on flame image in the tuyere and raceway of blast furnace as well as establishes the temperature fields taking advantage of the digital image processing technic which is developing rapidly and inclined to be more mature.First, this article analyzes the features for burning state and burning flames of coke in tuyere and raceway and constructs the processing system for the burning flame image as well as investigates principles of formation of images for CCD, colorimetry and photometry. Then fundamentals for digitized formation of image for burning flames are concluded.Next, with a view to degradation and distortion of intaking flame image in some extent compared with original one, the degradation model of image is consequently established. In accordance with this model, transformation, enhancement and restoration for intaking flame image will be realized. Thus the processed flame image will be close to the original one to the greatest extent.At last not the least, bicolorimetric temperature measurement method is investigated including theoretically proofreading elements which easily cause error sources. What's more, this method offers error sources between the actual temperature and calculated temperature as well as gas burner image and the temperature field of flame image in tuyere and raceway. It can be applied to the research on intaking of flame image and establishment for the temperature field for the experiment table for coal gas burning in the lab and the tuyere and raceway of the blast furnace in some steel corporation.The result from the lab research and industrial experiment demonstrates that the arrangement for image is very clear. These temperature fields can reflect the authentic flame temperature accurately as well as corresponding changes which happen to flamesalong with those of different operation modes. And sequentially this system provides monitoring function for burning state in tuyere and raceway of blast furnace and creates conditions for handlers to observe directly interior burning state. Nay, the system lays a good foundation for stabilization, direct motion and intensified smelting of blast furnace, improvement of working efficiency and automatization level for blast furnace, and reduction of laboring intensity for handlers.
