Nowadays the woods are in greater need with the fast development of our economy. It is at variance with objective wood resources.However, we have plenty of agricultural waste. Turning the scrap materials to artificial board not only takes the place of wood, relieves the contradictions between supply and demand but also increases the farmers' income, brings about prosperous economy. It also can protect the forest environment.Today the scholars did much about the characteristic, technology of rice straw , wheat straw , etc.But did little about cornstalk,, Based the study and analysis of the trial, the outer bark of cornstalk can be acquired by use of the skin stalk splitters and they also can be collected to make cornstalk boards. Analysed from characteristics of macro-construction, the external form of vegetable fiber is very small and well-distributed. The outer bark is comparatively hard and full of paraffin wax on account of SiO2. although the spongy internal structure of cornstalk has a minor density, the density of shavings will be much greater if the shavings are produced by the outer bark of cornstalk. It will do many good to the mechanic strength. Analysed from the characteristics of micro-construction, the grass family such as cornstalk are composed of many tissues and they have shorter fibers. But the content of fiber cells is equivalent to that of some woods. This is very important for cornstalk to be produced to artificial boards. Compared with wood, the fibers' thickness of cornstalk is not suitable for making artificial boards. The strength will be weakened by the small particles when the boards are in production. If the leafs and the pulp of cornstalk are abandoned , the boards are only made of the outer bark of cornstalk, they will have greater strength.Based on the process engineering of particle board, there are many factors when the cornstalk boards are in production. For example, the density of cornstalk board, tannic ratio, working temperature, working force, the shape of shavings, etc. We have expounded our views on every technological parameter. According to the reference materials and experience, the leading factors are tannic ratio, density, working temperature, working force in multi-factor orthogonal experiment, the other factors are fixed. After the mass measurement of shavings and tannic were exactly determined, we begin to carry out the experiment on the basis of L9 (34) multi-factor orthogonal experiment. When we aredetermining the mechanic strength of cornstalk board, the GB/T4897-92 fitted to particle board is employed?We need to determine four targets such as static bending strength (MOR )> flush tensile strength (IB X density (p ) and expanding rate on the thickness (2hTS ) <> During the trial we got the curve of every factor and target, furthermore, the efforts were concentrated on discussing the influence of leading factors to every target ? According to optimum working conditions , the conclusion was verifiedo Under the present circumstances of laboratory, we devised and made the heating plate Then the automatic temperature controlling installation was acquired ?The contents above was just preliminary discussion about technical process of cornstalk board o The further research was needed ?...
