The optimization design of the extrusion die parameters can cut down the workload of die setting and mending, upgrade the die qualities and reduce the design cycle and manufacture cycle. And it can result in cost reduction. Other than the traditional mathematic optimization, relationship of an actual project is too complicated to set up a definite mathematic model. This restricts conventional approaches. Aiming at the molding piece's qualities, this paper researches on the optimizing of the multi-parameter die with the artificial intelligence approach. On the basis of the plastic molding numerical simulation, the multi-parameter CAO system of three-dimensional aluminum profile extrusion die was constructed and the CAO system software was developed.Artificial neural network extracts the domain knowledge from a large number of discrete experimental data after learning and training. The knowledge is put into the network joint weight and corresponding mathematic model could be set up. Accordingly the artificial neural network serves as the kernel algorithm. There were some bugs in the standard algorithm. The refinement algorithm was put forward in this paper.Genetic algorithm is an effective method of resolving the optimization problems. Its computational model simulates the heredity selection and natural elimination through selection or contest of Darwinian's biologic evolution. It remarkably characterizes in the simple and general usage, sounding robustness, qualified to parallel processing, high efficiency, etc. That's why to choose genetic algorithm to do the optimization. But the result isn't approving owing to some bugs in the standard algorithm. The refinement algorithm had researched.With object-oriented analysis and design, problems can be researched in their original appearance. It has lots of advantage, such as its aptitude to expansion and maintenance of the constructed system. On the basis of the detailed analysis and object-oriented technology, the CAO system was obtained. And the functional model and the system model were established. The primary model block and its properties, manipulations were abstracted. The multi-parameter CAO system of three-dimensional aluminum profile extrusion die was constructed concretely.Visual C++ has powerful compilation facility. Matcom's C++ mathematical function library is capable of the matrix computing. This paper took VC++6.0compiling surrounding as the developing platform. In virtue of the object-oriented program design language—C++, the multi-parameter CAO system of three-dimensional aluminum profile extrusion die was developed with VC++ and Matcom.
