In order to producing high grade and safe cigarette, the chemical additives on tobacco have been noticeable in cigarette production.The study of the adsorption perfo-formance of chemical additive on tobacco not only has theory significance,but also has certain practical significance in instructing to add perfume, to fall harms, and to improve the quality of cigarette production.It can improve the conflagrant properies of tobacco when cobalt joined, and the min-nim selenium can reduce the deleterious substance in the cigcarette haze, and reduce the harm to health,therefore in this paper we have researched the adsorptive properities of cobalt(Ⅱ) on tobacco and some factors which affect the adsorption of selenium (Ⅳ) on tobacco by the theory of liquid - solid adsorption . We have discussed the influences of the adsorbate concentration. temperature, pH and certain concomitant substance, and have determined adsorption isothermal under the different temperature. The adsorption isothermal of Co (Ⅱ) is similar to that of Langmuir, and it has dealt with the SDM-A model, and according to it we have calculated ΔG, ΔH, ΔS and their ponderance ΔGβ,ΔGd/z,PDm, ΔHβ, ΔHd/z,PDm. ΔSβ and ΔSd/z.PDm.The results show that this adsorption is spontaneously. and the adsorption needs decalescence.We have searched one spectrophotometric method that is simply reliable method in determining constant selenium(Ⅳ),and studied the factors which affect the selenium(Ⅳ) adsorbed on tobacco by this method. We have determined the selenium(Ⅳ) according that when pH1.0 3.0. and the non-ionic surface active agent OP-10 existence Se (Ⅳ) with H2NCSNH2 can produce complex compound whose complexing ratio is 1: 2, and who is stable. We have seen about its stability, the biggest absorption wave length, the stable existence of this complex compound and its steady condition: acidity, dosage of H2NCSNH2 and that of surface active agent and colored time. When it is used to study some factors which affect the selenium adsorbed on tobacco, the result showes that theinfluence of temperature and pH are small; Few surface active agent CTAB, OP-10 or SDS existence is advantageous to adsorption, but when their dosages enlarge, the influence is different; some inorganic salts have very tremendous influence even their concentration is low. We also can see that the adsorption of Se(IV) on tobacco is polymolecular layer adsorption, Se (IV) which has reached the adsorption equilibrium on the tobacco surface is easy to break away adsorption when thin HC1 is existence.Based these studies, we obtains some parameters which are referable to reduce the disutilies and to add the perfume on tobacco.
