Straw, one of most important renewable resources, has many amazing characteristics such as its strong ability to absorb environment pollutants. But at so far, we have not made full use of it. Lignin and environmental pollutants can be degraded by white rot fungi. Black liquor and dyestuff are two kinds of industrial pollutants that is hard to be treated, because of high pH value and CODcr of black liquor and the macromolecule of dyestuff which is difficult to be degraded. In this thesis, black liquor was filtered by 9 fungi culture matter, the results indicated that 9 fungi culture matter (100g) could absorb 15ml black liquor and reduce the pH of black liquor to a certain extent every day. The most apparent effect was produced by fungi culture matter of straw. The fungi culture matter cultivated by Pleurotus ostreatus could filter and deal with the dyestuff solution successively. The experiments showed: The methyl blue and the malachite green produced better effect, more than 90% of them were decolorized with the highest decolorization rate of 99. 9%; the decolorization rate of Congo red was maintained above 50%; the decolorization rate of bromine phenol blue maintained above 30%. The decolorization results of the dyestuffs mixture and single dyestuff solution were roughly the same. Of three kinds of fungi culture matter of cottonseed shell, fungi culture matter of strain BP produced the best effect in filtering the solution of methyl blue. The dyestuffs solution could be filtered in succession by the fungi culture matter which still had certain recycled ability when filtered the dyestuffs. Three straws ( saw-dust, cottonseed shell, straw powder) could absorb some black liquor and reduce the pH value of black liquor when filtering black liquor, but they could not reduce the CODcr of black liquor obviously . Three kinds of straw could adjust the value of pH of the dyestuffs solution .The straw filters the dyestuffs solution had the best effect in decolorizing dyestuffs, the decolorization rate of the three kind dyestuffs solution was more than 95%. White rot fungi could grow at these substrate when absorbed dyestuffs or a small amount of black liquor, carrying on the following treatment of the pollutants. The effect of degrading was relevant with the state of the molecule of dyestuff and the strain of white rot fungi and the substrate. In this thesis, the absorbing characteristics of straw and degradation characteristics of white rot fungi were combined to deal with the black liquor and dyestuffs, offering a new method to deal with black liquor and dyestuffs .
