139 strains were isolated from waste water from waste water pool and workshop and waste mugs in the Hunan pesticides factory, including photosynthesis bacterium. Bacillus sp. and other strains, which showed degrading microorganism exists in the place polluted by pesticides and made preparation for advance research.Eighteen strains were isolated from waste water and mug contaminated by the methamidophos in Hunan pesticides factory. One strain, namely HP-1, showed good biodegradation against the methamidophos according to the screening result. The clony of this strain is red and round, regular trim and swell in the middle, and its diameter is about 0.64~2.60mm. It is G", single cell with short-rod or curve rod shape, and its size is about 0.40 ~ 0.70um × 1.2 ~ 2.0um. The strain is reproduced by asymmetry budding and with polar or sub-polar flagella, and its photo-intracytoplasmic membranes was lamellar type. The strain was preliminarily identified as Rhodopesudomonas plaustris according to above mentioned characterization. The seven days after inoculation, the strain can degrade the amount of methamidophos about 65.20 % and 49.60% at concentration of 500 mg/L and 1000 mg/L, respectively. This biodegradation performance was improved under extra-added carbon resource. The strain can also degrade dimthoate, chlorpyrifos. triazophos and phoxim. Its cultureaccelerated budding of radish seeds, shorten the time of budding, increased the activity of growth.
