The red mud is a industrial waste residue in the process of aluminum oxide refinery. Our country annual production of red mud is above 5 million tons presently, most of it has been stored by red mud dams. Some of the chemicals may enter groundwater and cause pollution, thus harm human health. Because contains a large quautily of alkaline materials, it is not feasible to mit it with potland cement. So this subject use the magnesium oxychloride cement to replace the portland cement finally.This study analyzed red mud, MgO, MgCl2, river sand, foam agent, water ratio and additive how to affect the performance of red mud foamed concrete. Using the orthogonal design were obtained best mixture ratios for 800 levels of red mud foamed concrete, And was discovered that the does of red mud, foam agent, MgO and MgCl2 can significantly affect the performance of red mud foamed concrete. Therefore, using the four as independent variable four linear regression equations, were obtained the correlation coefficient certificated that equations are ideal, Then regression equations were confirmed by the SPSS software, that provited a fast and robust means for data analysis.With the aid of the SEM test research the influence of pore form and aperture to red mud foamed concrete strength. Had carried on the analysis to the red mud foamed concrete micro-structure and magnesium oxychloride cement water resistance, also contain its hydrated process and the anti- carbonized performance. In addition, carried on the correlation experiment about the mechanism of additive function in the magnesium oxychloride cement foamed concrete, discovered phosphoric acid has the good water resistance effect, and found its appropriately scope.This article illustrated the design of industrialized production stream line of red mud foamed concrete. Indicated that the red mud foamed concrete can successfully realization the industrialization.
