A two-dimension computational fluid dynamics(CFD) study of two -phase flow in a wet flue gas desulfurization(FGD) spray tower is presented.in this thesis, with the related numerical calculating method ,apply computer simulating the operation situation under the different loads, compare with the experiment date, use for reference for our own designing desulfurization equipment and guide the operation. The 3D gas-droplet multiphase flow;the distribution of gastemperature, the process of the water droplet vaporization,thedroplet-wall collision in the absorber have been predicted by presentmodel. The K — ε model, and the particle path model are applied numerically calculate the flow and temperature fields inside the erect wet absorber of power plants. The factors which can effect the water droplet vaporization and the activation rate of the reactor have also been studied in depth. The conclusion in this thesis will be very useful to make the design and operation of the activation reactor reasonable and effective. And from it, the paper suggests measure to optimize the system and operation.
