The Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for flue gas denitrification has been widelyused in the world due to its ripe technique and high denitrification efficiency. Power industryin China is also considering this technology as the main direction for NOx control strategy inthe future. For this reason the technical design of SCR will become a hot topic discussed inChina today and in future.The numerical analysis is considered as a very important method to obtain the optimalstructure of SCR in the field of engineering design. In this paper, the numerical simulationshave been conducted for SCR of a fired coal boiler by means of CFX commercial software,combining with Gaojing Power Plant SCR biding project of an environmental protectioncompany of Beijing. Simulations in the different conditions were conducted, for example,different flow situation when flue gas goes through the flue and reactor of SCR system,ammonia injection system and the course to remove nitrogen oxide in SCR system. The paperobtains more satisfactory result and achieved the goal of optimizing SCR system to designfinally. It is suggested that the paper can provide some reference basis for the design of theSCR system in China.
