Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) is an analytical method that is based on energy transfer between fluorescent substances. The properties of micelles with three-dimension are used in the energy transfer system, which makes the sensitivity and application of the method wider. Compared with fluorescence method and resonance light scattering method, this method is characterized by few interferring substances, good reproduction, which is widely applied to the chemical analysis in food industry and the biological pharmaceutical researches. This paper has carried on the study about the mechanism and related applications of this method. In my paper, firstly it is an introduction of FRET between alkaline dyes. Then Applying Forster theory, the thesis is about the investigation of the energy transfer between Acridine orange (AO) and Rhodamine 6G (R6G); A new method for determination of Erythromycin by applying energy transfer fluorescence quenching of AO- R6G; A new method to determine tea polyphenols by applying energy transfer fluorescence quenching of AO- R6G; A new method for determination of trace phosphorous by applying energy transfer fluorescence quenching between AO and Rhodamine B (RB); The study on the interaction of antibiotic drug-Erythromycin with Bovine Serum Albumins (BSA) were introduced respectively.
