The Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook. F is one of the important Chinese herbal medicines. Its effective components like Triptolide and Tripdiolide are widely used in rheumatism and dermatosis. The industrial process to produce Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside (TWP) includes the following units: leaching, evaporation, extraction and column chromatogram.Triptolide was purified by a series of former disposal and separated by HSCCC from the production of the first period of column chromatogram and the purity was 11.8%. Tripdiolide was separated by crude extract, solvent extraction using butanol-water (1:1) as solvent, chromatogram and crystallization from the root of Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook. F and the crystal of Tripdiolide were gained. The influence of solvent system and concentration of feed on extraction was also researched.The capacitance of the elution solution from the column chromatographic unit in the production of the Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside (TWP) were measured, the relation between the capacitance and concentration of Triptolide and Tripdiolide was researched. An On-line detection method was proposed to the quality control of TWP based on the capacitive behavior and had been already applied in the practical production.
