| Aniline is used in a number of manufacturing processes, especially in dye industry, and is one of the priority pollutants in China. Triazophos is organophosphates pesticide, and the production is increasing gradually. They have relatively high solubility in water and low degradability in the environment, which allows it readily enter aquatic environment and poses threat on aquatic ecosystems. So the studies about the bioaccumulation, the mechanism of biotransformation and biodegradation of aniline and triazophos in algae are important for evaluating the fate in environment and safety of ecology. This research was carried out to investigate the responses of antioxidant and transformation enzymes in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, Euglena gracilis to aniline and triazophos. With the aniline treatment (0—50 mg/L), the results showed that the activities of Peroxidase (POD) and N-acetyl-transferase (NAT) of C. reinhardtii was enhanced in range of 0—50 mg/L and inhibited in range of 50—100 mg/L. In contrast, Superoxide dismutase (SOD) showed positive relationship with the increase of the concentration of aniline (p=0.0049). The activity of POD and SOD of E. gracilis under the autotrophic condition was enhanced in range of 0—20 mg/L and inhibited in range of 20—50 mg/L. The activities of NAT was enhanced in range of 0—30 mg/L and inhibited in range of 30 — 50 mg/L; Under heterotrophic condition, the activity of POD of E.gracilis was enhanced in range of 0—30 mg/L and inhibited in range of 30—50 mg/L. SOD, NAT showed positive relationship with the increase of the concentration of aniline. With the treatment of triazophos 0—20 mg/L, the activity of POD and SOD of C.reinhardtii was enhanced in range of 0—15 mg/L and inhibited in range of 15—20 mg/L, and the activity of OPH (Organophosphorus hydrolase) enhanced in range of 0—10 mg/L and inhibited in range of 10—20 mg/L. POD of E.gracilis showed positive relationship with the increase of the concentration of triazophos (p=0.0071). The activity of SOD and OPH of E.gracilis was enhanced in range of 0—20 mg/L and inhibited in range of 20—40 mg/L. The tolerance of C.reihardtii, E.gracilis for aniline and triazophos was higher than Synechococcus leopoliensis and Navicula pelliculosa (EC50 for aniline were 70, 45 mg/L, respectively; EC50 for triazophos were 11, 22 mg/L, respectively).
