The TA15 titanium alloy has very good comprehensive properties. It is used to produce bars, forgings, plates, shapes and so on. It is widely used in the engines and the structures of planes. In order to meeting the requirement of aviation industry, increasing the used proportion of titanium on planes, improving the comprehensive properties of domestic comsat aircraft, we carried on the melting research work of the TA15 titanium alloy. Through research work, we produced the TA15 ingots and laid a foundation for producing the TA15 materials.With the VAR (vacuum arc remelting) melting method, the technology courses producing TA15 alloy ingots were researched. Through melting smaller size ingots, the distributed ways of alloy elements and their actions in melting were researched. By analyze these testing dates , the composition and the melting times of the TA15 alloy ingots were determined.In order to increase the uniform degree of the TA15 ingot's chemical composition many research works were done. With the mixing and distributing ways, the row materials were uniformly treated. By used the middle-alloys, the elements of the alloy were added. After mixing the sponge titanium and the alloy elements, the blacks for making titanium electrode were pressed. By used those technological ways, the test shows that the uniform degree of the TA15 ingot's chemical composition is very good.In order to acquire high quality of TA15 ingots, the mechanical row materials treatment system, and vacuum welding system were used. After accomplished three times VAR, the good metallurgical quality of TA15 ingots was acquired.Through analyze testing dates, explored the relation between melting technological parameters and the uniform degree of the ingot's chemical composition, determined thetechnological way and the technological parameters that industrial scale produce TA15 ingots. Finally we have succeeded in producing the TA15 titanium alloy ingots that with good metallurgical quality and ingots chemical composite being up to the standard, and accomplished the task of the item research.
