Process intensification is one of the three domines which priority development in chemical egineering at present, people having devoted to process intensification to plant plan more compacted, unit energy consumption more lower by using theory and method of chemical egineering. The design would apply process intensification in the distillation system of BDO project washed out by licensor to aim decreasing energy, improving product quality.The article introducts the analyse method for existing flow,collection and selection the data and compara with foreign similar project, found the problem, analysed the path of saving energy, explained the design procedure。 Aimed to energy consumption high ang product quality low of existing unit,forward to the improve measures. simulation the flow using Aspen Plus software, introdution coupling design of double column and utlising the high-low level energy transfer,intensing the process and energy utilizing more reasonable. modification the existing column using hige performance packing and matched internal to intensify the equipment, further to improve the product quality, decrease the investment and save energy. introduction and discussion the expected results of the design,and summarization the appliation effect. The design method and experience for reference to the revamped project.
