Phenolic resin adhesives are widely used adhesives in plywood industry ,but the use of which is less than urea-formaldehyde resin adhesives because of high cost .Recent years ,with the enhancement of people's awareness in environment protection ,much attention was paid to the problem of free formaldehyde in formaldehyde-containing resins and their products .Consequently ,the study of low cost and low content of free formaldehyde and free phenol PF resin adhesives in production and use are pressingly required. In the first part and second part of this thesis, the main problems and solution to these problems of the three formaldehyde resin adhesives used in plywood industry all over the world recently were concluded , according to the reality of production and the requirement of market in plywood industry recently ,several new resin adhesives without formaldehyde were synthesized on this base .Instead of formaldehyde ,we take glucose as the material ,three adhesives were synthesized by the methods of common heating and microwave radiation .Through orthogonal experiments the conditions of the synthesis and curing reaction of these resins were investigated and the optimal conditions were obtained . IR spectra indicate that the assumed mechanism is partially right .Besides , thermodynamic analysis was made to the curing reaction of glucose-phenol resin adhesive by TGA and DSC , Kissinger equation and Crane equation were used to calculate the dynamic parameters of the curing reaction .The result indicates that the curing reaction is a complicated reaction .The properties of these adhesives are similar to common PF resin adhesive , but the cost fall a lot ,and these adhesives don't contain formaldehyde ,So the competition of PF resin adhesive on the market was enhanced greatly.Similar to PF resin , another common thermosetting resin is epoxy resin ,Which has good electrical property and mechanic property ,It was widely used in the area of layer-compressing material and insulate material and packing-instilling material ,but the biggest defect of EP is that it is easy to burn .It is well-known that PF resin can be used as reaction curing agent for EP resin , and the study indicates that the compounds containingnitrogen and phosphor have retardant effect on EP resin .Therefore , It will have great sense to study the synthesis of nitrogen-phosphor-containing phenolic resins and take them as the curing agents for epoxy resin. In the third part of this thesis , three kinds of nitrogen-containing phenolic resins were synthesized using P-Cresol and bisphenol A and bisphenol F ,and a new kind of nitrogen-phosphor-containing phenolic resin was also synthesized by bisphenol A .The influences of the content of nitrogen in these resins on the softening point and the gelatin time and fire-resisting properties of these resins were discussed ,and they were characterized by IR spectra .The results indicate :with the growing of the content of nitrogen in the resin ,the softening point of the resin become high ,the gelatin time of the resin become short ,and the combusting time without fire of the resin become short ,that is to say its fire-resisting property become better; When both nitrogen and phosphor radicals are contained in the resin structure ,It will produce coordinate fire-resisting effect .The results of IR spectra indicate that the molecule structure of the synthesized resin containing nitrogen and phosphor radicals .Ma Chun-ping (Organic Chemistry) Directed by Chen Shuan-hu...
