With the development of the automobile industry, galvanized steel is widely used all over the world. Research for optimization of spot welding process of galvanized steel may improve the weld quality , prolong the electrode life and a great deal of money, which has vast and economic foreground .This paper is on the technology of resistance spot welding hot-dipped galvanized steel which is widely used in automobile making industry. On the basis of the standardized parameters given in the papers, we try to select a group of improved parameters through tests. Also we make comparison between a group of improved parameters and another group of unimproved ones in the electrode wear velocity, weld surface and strength, stability.The resistance spot welding process and character of galvanized steel is analyzed according to the experiment .Scan the rules and electrode wear mechanism of resistance spot welding process of galvanized steel by analyzing some phenomena of the welding process. Put forward the excellent the development direction of the possibility of electrode materials by the improving simple electrode materials.The research of the topic can contact the theory with the fact , which has certainly meaning with practical value to the enterprise.
