People have been interested in the organic rare earth complexes which have a full width at half maximum(FWHM)of 10-20nm,pure emission color and high quantum efficiency (theory maximum value of 100%),because they don t only make use of the energy of ligand singlet exciton , but also that of triplet exciton. in contrast, organic light emission materials with FWHM of 50-100nm and impure emission color only use the energy of singlet, Moreover, they have a low quantum efficiency (theory maximum value of 25%). Therefore, the good performances of rare earth complexes have been searched to produce OLED.The coumarins have been used in OLED emitting green as dopant, however its rare earth complexes as light, emission materials were rarely reported. some different ternary complexes of rare earth(Eu3+,Tb3+, Sm3+, Dy3+)with coumarin and water,Phen, TPPO, Ant were synthesized by homogenous precipitation. Their composition and structure were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR spectra . UV-Vis and fluorescent spectra.. The results indicated that Eu (Coumarin)3 Phen could emit the strongest red fluorescence among these complexes. The optimum proportion was found in Eu(Coumarin) Phen with variated concentration of Gd3+ as dopant, which could enhance the emitting fluorescence. Furthermore, its mechanism of energy transfer was proposed.It was reported in researches that the key factors of effecting on rare earth complexes luminance efficiency were limited by relatively worse ability of transfer or unbalance transfer. The excellent rare earth emission material hasn t only high PL efficiency, better thermal stabi 1 i ty and glassy and amorphous film, But also outstanding performance of transfer. Phthalicanhydride reacted with phenylamine^ dipheny lamine ,4-aminoant i pyrine wh icli could transfer holes to produce three kinds of new chemicals to improve transfer performance of carrier and their emission efficiency, Some of different ternary complexes of rare earth with HA1K HDPAB -. HANTB were synthesized by homogenous precipitation, their structures and properties were characterized by means of elemental analysis ^ 1R speetnu I'V-Vis > TG-DTA and fluorescence spectra, The results indicated that the ternary complexes of HDPAB had better luminescent performance and thermal stability than PA.Meanwhile, AIq; with better performance of emission and transfer was synthesized, Its structure and luminescent efficiency was characterized by means of IR spectra . UV-Vis and fluorescent spectra.
