Pitch is an important material in essential national economy;it is anindispensable raw material to build the highway and expressway. At present themain methods to produce pitch include distillation, half oxidizes, solvent and themediate method. This text studied the technology and engineering design fordistillation method to produce rode pitch with Orimulision-oil as the main materialwhich mixed with Liaohe-oil at 7:3.Process simulation and hydraulics calculation was completed for theatmospheric and vacuum distillation system using PRO/II software. The hot energyoptimization results, operating conditions and process parameters were obtained forthe two columns to produce qualified pitch;the simulation results supply basic datafor engineering design. The hydraulics of the atmospheric tower and vacuumcolumn and the structure parameter design were carried out based on the simulationdata.This text carries on analysis and price expectation to nowadays domestic andinternational raw materials and market of the products, carried on the totalassessment of economy to this device, finally gets the conclusion that the financialindex of this project is superior to the reference of trade index and this project isfeasible at financial.
