The membrane bioreactor (MBR) has the high potency to degrade the organic waste water and have the very good processing effect. However in the process membrane fouling is inevitable. When the membrane fouling becomes serious, the membrane separation function is destroyed. The replacement of membrane module will restore the function of the membrane, but it will increase the construction cost and break down the run cycle inevitably. Therefore, the study of the mechanism of the membrane fouling in membrane bioreactor becomes the key of the membrane bioreactor application. Using the SEM, EDX, IR to detect the matters that cause the membrane fouling, at the same time using the Polyurea membrane which is studied and developed most newly to carry on the experiment to analyze the membrane fouling. In dye wastewater and leachate treatment by membrane bioreactor (MBR), the mechanism of membrane fouling is studied by means of dead-endfiltration of activated sludge. The study focuses on the style of the membrane filtration, the changing of the flux, the membrane resistance analysis and the structure of strains in fouling membrane. The dead-end filtration of sludge is in strict conformity with the cake filtration law. The flux is in the tendency to the exponential decay along with filtration time and achieves the relative stability index in a few minutes. It verifies the membrane fouling is mainly caused by deposit on membrane surface to scan the electric mirror photo. The organic matter causes the membrane pollution mainly and the main performance is the soluble microorganism product (Soluble Microbial Products, SMP). The Polyurea membrane flux is big and shows the characteristic of bearing the pollution, estimated to have the broad prospects for development.Student: Wuy anxi a (Environmental engineering) Supervised by: Liuzhenhong...
