Benzaldehyde is very important chemical raw material in the fields of medicine,dyestuff, spicery,hereby to empolder novel catalyst with high selection and activeity has economic significance.Add O2 into the mixture of cumene and styrene to carry the styrene oxidation,the host products of the oxidation are benzaldehyde,oxide styrene and heycinthin.We can get pure benzaldehyde according to their boiling point.At room temperature,nano-CuO whose size is 50100nm is prepared by hydrothermal method which takes Cu(NO3)-3H2O and NaOH as raw. The morphology and structure of sample is analyzed using XRD and SEM. In atmospheric pressure,at 80℃,after 12h,using 0.01g(nano-CuO)/ml(cumene),(CHP)wt% reaches more than 40wt%.The reaction is simple to operate and secure to carry, the oxidant and catalyst are low-cost. Besides, the enery waste is depressesd.Cumene hydroperoxide is used as oxidant and MoO3/SiO2, metal-loaded MCM-41, nano-CuO are used as catalyst in styrene oxidation. Cumene oxidation over nano-CuO was reported but styrene oxidation was not.The host product of styrene oxidation is benzaldehyde and it can be disjoined by rectifyication.Since the use of benzaldehyde is broader than that of oxide styrene and hyacinthin,it is more realistic significant to obtain benzaldehyde mainly.The catalyst can be reused as well. Styrene oxidation goes well too. When styrene/CHP is 2:l(mol ratio),the factual styrene coversion reaches 57.3% at last after 22h.Put air into the mixture of styrene and cumene directly,the selection of the host product benzaldehyde reaches 90% and it holds the line in the gross.After 12h the yield of benzaldehyde is 41.3%.Benzaldehyde producted by the oxide reaction can be used in food,medicine,spicery etc. It is easy to operate the reaction and to separate the catalyst.
