Composites have many excellent properties compared with other general materials, so it is widely applied in many fields. Because of the designable characteristic, composite become the emphasis of researches in materials science. With the development of techniques of navigation and spaceflight, needs to composite electromagnetic characteristic are raised rapidly. Thus the design and calculation of composites effective electromagnetic characteristic is playing important roles in researches.In this paper, homogenization method applied in material analysis is introduced, and the control equations and boundary conditions, which the electromagnetic characteristic of composite micro-structure satisfies, are discussed. Analytical model of composite electromagnetic characteristic is developed, and mathematic expression of equivalent electricity parameters including conductivity and dielectric permittivity are obtained. For 2D composite, A computing program is developed to solve equivalent electromagnetic parameters, and to calculate the effective conductivity and dielectric permittivity, and several numerical examples of composites are presented. As a result, the theoretic and numerical solutions for two dual materials have excellent consistency, and it proves that the method is correct and valid.The research method of this paper can shorten the design period of composite, reduce the cost of development, and overcome the problems existing in traditional design methods, as well as make the design of composites through a shortcut...
