The cutting process is the complex and stochastic process, there are many craft parameters. Under the certain cutting conditions, the value of the cutting force can be fixed. In actual production, it is impossible to use the high precision of the dynamometers to measure the value of the true cutting force. The factors that influence the cutting force are so many and changeful that the traditional formula of the cutting force is not always feasible.This article has overcome the limitations of the traditional measuring of the cutting force and the modeling. According to the principle of servo system, the text brings forward a new indirect method that measuring the current of the servo motor to predict the value of the cutting force by using the strict mathematical ways. And by the principle of the neural network and the fuzzy theory, this article also established a fuzzy neural network. And using this kind of neural network to establish the relationship of the cutting force, rotate speed and current. The experiments shows that it is feasible to using this method to predict the value of the cutting force.
