Research On Multi-Agent Based Distributed Measurement Systems

With the development of industry and technology, measuring task has become more and more complex. And requirement is also high to the measuring system day by day. The traditional measuring system already could not satisfy the request of the industry. Along with the Internet network technology appearance, the structure of measuring system evolves distributed from centralized. As a result, distributed measuring system has brought out, but also brings a problem of interoperability in the heterogeneous environment. Therefore under heterogeneous environment, it is very important and urgent to research the distributed measuring technology.This paper presents the distributed measuring system based on multi-Agent system and CORBA technology to realize remote measurement and control, system dynamic configuration, and establishes the architecture of distributed measuring systems. This model is divided into six different agents according to measuring function. In the communication model, we adopt KQML as a communication language, CORBA as a communication mechanism to communicate among Agents by the point-to-point and broadcasting communication methods. Under the heterogeneous environment, the system is characterized by interoperability, collaboration, intelligence, open and so on.Finally at the background of size measurement system for train wheel, the distributed measuring prototype system is designed and realized. And tests of the prototype system are prepared for confirming the feasibility and validity.
