Xiaoshan pickle radish, which had been listed as original product by AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.China), is a famous local specialty of Zhejiang Province. It has been manufactured with traditional technic. Bacteria in vacuum package of pickle radish are perplexing. Gas is easy accumulated in package due to microbial activity, which shorten the shelf life and reduce the value.In this study, two aerogens were isolated from Xiaoshan pickle radish in plump plastic packages. The size, characters of stain experiment, mobility in light microscope and types of endospore were analyzed. And some physiological tests were carried out according to Identification of Gram Positive Bacteria. 16S rDNA sequences of the two aerogens were also sequenced and compared with other bacteria's 16S rDNA sequences from NCBI-GenBank using BlastN method.
