The system of suspension polymerization reactions, which has the advantage of low viscosity, vite rate of polymerization, high molecular weight of production and easy to remove the reaction heat, is used highly to produce the dope, the bond, the synthetic rubber and the plastic. Both stirring in the Stirred tank reactors and increasing the turbulence in the tubular reactors by increasing the flow rate can be used for the proper mix of the oil-water. And we can achieve this aim by the field in addition.This article set out from the theories and experiments research that already exist, and designed a kind of novel Oscillatory Flow Reactor according to the reaction of polymerization and the oscillatory characteristics of the reactor. The mix is enhanced by oscillation. The experiment probed into the influence of the net flow velocity, the oscillatory amplitude and the oscillatory frequency to flow form in the reactor by the imaging video and the RTD, and used the multilevel mixing model in which the N expressed the degree of the axial mixing. Then we explored the relations between the oscillatory and the reaction of polymerization. The experiment probed into the mix to the mean particle size and the particle size distributions and compared the results with a stirrer in different operational ways.The results indicate that, for this reactor, the flow can turn into the turbulent flow with smaller Ren then in the tubular reactors but there is hold-up volume in the reactor with small Ren without oscillation, and the oscillation can vary the ideal performance of the flow. When St is small, the ideal performance of the flow is mainly controlled by the Re_n, and only when the oscillation and the flowage have the proper relationship the oscillation will affect the ideal performance of the flow. When St is moderate, the ideal performance of the flow is mainly controlled by the Re_n when the Re_n is large and by change the oscillation intension to cooperate with the flowage can achieve high ideal performance of the flow when the Re_n is small. When St is small, the ideal performance of the flow is controlled by both oscillation intension and the flowage. The ideal performance of the flow, which can change the mix of the emulsion to control the mean particle size and the particle size distributions, can be changed by varying the operational conditions. It can produce much better product much more flexibly then in the stirred tank reactors, and It can fit the product engineering very much, and has the prospect of further application.
