This thesis relates to the techniques of removing CO2 from Ammonia synthesis gas with the theory of CO2 removal, especially to the development of the hot potassium carbonate technical. The regeneration system is performed according to the two-pressure-level technology. The result of material balance, heat balance and calculation equipment are completed from the opinion of engineering by means of computer aided design. The process data sheet of typical equipment, such as Absorber and Acid gas cooler, are given. The main control method and control point are present in the paper. A completely piping and instrument drawing is put out by the calculation of the unit. Referring to the size of all equipment and some design specification, the layout meets to the process requirement. The paper analyzes the energy consumption of CO2 regeneration. The research shows that the regeneration heat of the unit is 728 kcal/ Nm3CO2. This paper is helpful to prepare to set up a new CO2 removal unit in order to recover much heat.
