With the improving of automatic welding machine, the automatization of hard-facing welding facility becomes an urgent problem which we should resolve as soon as possible. Hard-facing welding with hand is a type of work which is swinked, high-drain and low productive efficiency. So it has great significance to design a kind of automatic hard-facing welding equipment aiming at a special kind of workpiece.This thesis studies a kind of automatic single coupler knuckle hard-facing welding control system with CO2 welding technique. Its control center is singlechip and it makes the whole processing automatically. It also can automatically weld the workpiece which is frayed abnormally or frayed with different size. This paper introduced the design method and research process of the control system, including hardware design, software design and so on. The hardware circuits include IGBT direct current speed-governing system and the welding logic control circuits controlled mainly by PIC16F877A singlechip, and besides, the circuits have some measures of anti-jamming. The software is written by PIC assembly language. With soft and hardware, the control system can achieve the automatic repair of coupler knuckle with weld processing logic automatic control.Proved by experiment, this system have the following feature: Working continuously with highly automatic degree;Having high stability and efficiency;Easily operated with low labor intensity;Getting raw materials easily and processing with low cost. With these advantages this system will have high practical value.
