Resistance spot welding is one of the main methods which is used widelyin all aspects of the modern production. According to the data, the quantity usedby the spot welding is about 33 percent of that used by overall welding method.The check-up of the welding quality is a important aspect in the process of thewelding which can control the welding quality and avoid the waster. Nowguarantee every welding spot is crucial to the welding quality.Resistance welding have large welding current and short welding time andits many disturb factors affect each other. The welding procession isinstantaneous and the formation of the spot is sightless. So the welder cannotfind out the problem and make reaction in time. In order to guarantee weldingquality,the normal method is to sample after welding,which not only waste lotsof manpower and material resources,but also could not guarantee weldingquality completely. The quality of the welding spot is correlated to the weldingparameter changing during welding process. For resistance spot welding, theconnection intensity of welding joint mainly decided by geometry dimension ofthe weld nugget, and which are controlled by many spot welding processparameters, such as welding current, welding period, electrode force, diameterof electrode tip and so on. Among of them, welding time and diameter ofelectrode tip can easily be controlled accurately, so the geometry dimension ofthe weld nugget and the connection intensity of welding joint usually affected bythe welding current and the electrode force. Therefore the monitor of technologyparameters of spot welding plays as the important role in reality weldingproduction.In order to meet these needs, the paper has researched spot weldingthechnology parameters monitor system based on local area network, which realtime monitor spot welding thechnology parameters,such as welding current,welding time and electrode force,with the function of data acquisition, datadisposal,data storage,data display and transmission. This system take embeddedsystem PC/104 as lower computer, take high speed and precision dataacquisition card to collect and disposal the data of welding current and electrodeforce, after that display and storage the data. It take PC as upper computer,tocommunicate with lower computer embedded system PC/104 in local areanetwork based on TCP/IP protocol, and achieve network online monitor. Thedata acquisition and disposal program can be programmed by the Visual c++6.0,which make it convenience to program and debug the software, and save lotsof time.The monitor system combining with producing technology,could bedesigned with individuation based on the requirement of client, putcollection,disposal and storage of lots of data to realization,also it has thefunction of intelligence analyse, to point out the disqualification technologyparameters. The data after disposal is transfer to upper computer through localarea network for producing management.This resistence spot welding network monitor system lower computer canbe used as resistence spot welding technology parameters single monitorinstrument.It can measure welding process of AC and DC resistence spotwelding machine,and make good foundation for further spot welding qualitymonitor and controlling.The functions of resistance spot welding are general, and can be used inresistence spot welding technology parameters monitor of many fields such ascar producing and aviation. This system have many advantages such as highgathering speed, high gathering efficiency, big memory capacitance and goodhuman-computer interaction interface. It can be used in many high efficiencydata acquisition application, and it has high useful value and developmentforeground.
