Based on the further exploitation and deep-processing of strontium carbonate (SrCO3), it has been studied to prepare strontium silicide binary compound alloys and characterize phase by carbon-silicon hot-reduction process in the medium frequency induction furnace, tube furnace and by diffraction instrument in this thesis. During the preparation process, it has been contrasted that the primordial materials powder and materials powder by mechanical activation have different chemical reaction products.The result proved that mechanical activation can further accelerate the chemical reaction during the carbon-silicon hot-reduction process. It has more strontium silicide in chemical reaction products at the same temperature contrast with not mechanical activation.By the thermodynamic calculation of chemical reaction designed in this thesis, it has showed that it is feasible to use SrCO3 preparing strontium silicide alloys through carbon-silicon hot-reduction process by mechanical activation.
