The pore diameter of the SBA-15 as hosts for enzyme immobilization has significant effects on the internal diffusion under a negligible external diffusion resistance condition. The general problem of substrate transport in nanometer confinements is involved. At smaller pore size (R<9A run), the internal diffusion limitation significantly occurred and the process is diffusion rate controlled. But the diffusion limitation plays inconsiderable roles at larger pore diameter (R>10.9 nm).2. SBA-15 hosts were grafted with three kinds of functional alkoxysilanes (PD, MA and DE) and the derivates were employed as the hosts of immobilized enzymes.
