With the increase of demand and improvement of quality for the plastics profile products, people enhanced the quality requirement for the relevant extrusion equipment and mould. Traditional designing mainly depended on abundant experience that usually resulted in increase of cost and extent of time. In recent years, with the the rapid development of CAE, people could simulate the flowing of the plastics melt in the extrusion die and forecast some relationship in the geometry parameter, processing conditions and product quality which could advance the designing efficiency and level by integrating some experience.The article took a typical plastics window profile as an example and built up its 3-D flow channel by POLYFLOW software that suited to simulate the viscous or viscous and elastic fluid. Not only the stability of extrusion was analyzed but also the pressure- and velocity-field were simulated and calculated in the all zones of the flow channel, and then some conclusions were obtained through the simulation on the melt flowing characteristics.At last, the influences of geometry parameters and flow rate on the...
