Ionic Liquid-Its Preparation And Electrochemical Properties Measurement

Ionic liquids(ILs) are liquids being fully composed of cations and anions with some unique characteristics, e.g. good conductivity, non-volatility, non-flammability, good stability and tunable solubility for many organic compounds and inorganic salts. Their application covers a wide spectrum, for example, being a green solvent and catalyst for many chemical reactions, as well as a solvent for gas absorption, extraction, crystallization and other separation processes. Also, ILs can be used as liquid electrolyte in a battery and electrolysis process for their good conductance and stability. Furthermore, as a potential green solvent, its application can reduce or even eliminate the emission of VOCs to the environment in a chemical process. As a result, ILs have a brilliant future and deserve extensive exploitation.The thesis is mainly composed of three parts.
