A range of poly(butyl acrylates) (PBA) porous elastomers were prepared and PNIPA was introduced into them via concentrated emulsion polymerization pathway. This kind of copolymer was characterized with temperature sensitivity because polyN-isopropylacrylamide is a temperature sensitivity material, and has potential applies in the biology and medication field according to the critical phase transition temperature.Carrier, which is porous elastomers of poly(butyl acrylates- divinyl benzene) (PBA/DVB), should be prepared firstly. This kind of porous material was prepared via concentrated emulsion polymerization, in which the aqueous phase acts as dispersed phase and the butyl acrylate monomer acts as the continuous phase. The effects of temperature on the stability of the concentrated emulsion, and the concentration of the emulsifier and dispersed phase volume ratio on the morphological structure of PBA/DVB porous polymer were investigated through Scanning Electron Microscope. The results showed that appropriate polymerization temperature was about 50~60℃. With the increase of emulsifier, the pores of porous elastomers became smaller and the quantity of open pores became more gradually. With...
