RTM(Resin Transfer Moulding) is one of ways to product high-performance composites with low cost, which has been applied for making big size or complex composites. The process of resin's curing is one of main processes during the RTM molding which affects the settlement of processing parameter, the change of resin's viscosity, and then affects the permeability of resin, the property of resin's flowing, the generation of defects in composites. It is needed to study the curing behaviors and the curing kinetics of fiber/vinyl-ester resins composites which would be affected by fiber, for the previous study on curing is limited to vinyl-ester resins. The curing behaviors and the curing kinetics of the were studied by using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and the modified autocatalytic model for simulating the isothermal cured DSC data of fiber / vinyl-ester resins(VE) is brought forward in this paper. The results show that: glass fiber(GF) and carbon fiber(CF) affect the state of cure and the curing velocity of vinyl-ester resins; The activation energy of CF/VE composites curing increases about 30.46% than VE caused by CF, while the...
