RPA was used to investigate the three-dimensional network and the dynamic viscoelasticity in SBR, which was filled with silica or carbon black. When the filler loading exceeded certain content, the three-dimensional network existed in filled rubber, including two parts: filler and bound rubber. In SBR filled with CB, the effects of filler content and the addition of additive on dynamic viscoelasticity were investigated through strain sweep, temperature sweep and frequency sweep. Due to the good filler-polymer interaction between CB and SBR, the dynamic moduli decreased during the temperature sweep. In silica filled SBR, The dynamic moduli of network were directly measured using RPA, which were extremely high and even higher than that of vulcanizates. The dynamic storage moduli of untreated silica-filled rubber increased during temperature sweep because of the further aggregation of fillers. Due to the weak filler-polymer interaction, the fillers also aggregated under different kinds of temperature sweep. Heat treatment and silica surface modification with Si69 enhanced the soft contactss in the network and...
