The profound study of electrochemical oscillations has important scientific meaning for recognizing the oscillatory phenomena, developing the dynamics of electrode processes and enriching the research content of non-equilibrium thermodynamics and nonlinear dynamics. Electrochemical oscillatory phenomena are often found in the processes of electrodissolution and electrodeposition of metals, electrocatalytic oxidation of small organic molecules, semiconductor electrode and membrane, and so on.Recently, our group has proposed a physical model, i.e., bistability coupled with positive and negative feedbacks, and a universal criterion based on this model for the oscillatory electrochemical systems from the viewpoint of the electrode processes. It has been proved that the cyclic-voltammetry-based criterion is more intuitive, less time-consuming and has a wider range of application than the impedance-based criterion. In situ confocal Raman microscope can be used to detect the adsorbate in (sub)monolayer on the electrode and the concentration distribution in the...
