Tritium permeation is the important research field in producing tritium and using tritium. The permeation characteristic of hydrogen and its isotope was attended by more and more people.In order to test the permeation behavior , deuterium was used to simulate tritium. In this paper ,the behavior of diffusion and permeation of deuterium through the 316L stainless steel coated with Al barrier film has been investigated. In order to measure the performance of the 316L stainless steel which had the barrier film of Al, a equipment was set up. The characteristic of the system is high sensitivity ,high nicety rate and handle simple. In order to examine the hydrogen permeation property of materials, the hydrongen permeation treatment were take to both the aliminied and bare pipe. At last , though the experiment ,the characterisitic parameters of permeation , diffusion, dissolution were gained ,and at the same time thermodynamics equation was gained. As a revolution ,the Al film has a good capability about resisting deuterium permeation.
