Additives guaranteed the prorerties of lubricating oil. The lubricating oil was endued with good anti-wear and induce-friction by choiscing and using special additives. The aviation lubricating oil is a special lubricant, so the based oil and additives were also called for excelent performence. The rare earth and their compounds processed high chemical activities, large atom diameter, low electronegative and solid-melting-point of wear surface, and special structure which enable rare earth and their compounds with function of anti-wear, extreme-pressure, friction reducing as lubricating oil additive. When mixed with the aviation lubricating oil, the antiwear additive can improve aviation lubricating oil's abilities of extreme pressure, anti-wear and reduce frictional resistance, so as to lengthen the service life of the machine.(l)The synthesizing of HDDP: HDDP was synthesized and the effect elements such as time, temperature, beginning temperature, P2S5 and the method of adding were discussed also in experiment. We also analyzed the components of the product with FT-IR.(2)In the thesis we prepared nano-particles of LaF3 modificated by HDDP and LaDDP. The crystalline and particle size was charactered by TEM, XRD and FI-TR etc. Studied some effects of conditions such as reaction time, temperature,the ways of adding materials, chelating agents, the proportion of rare earth compounds and HDDP were discussed in the article. The dispersation of the production was tested in various organic solvents.(3)We analyzed various additives effect on tribology performance of lubricant by comparing wear resistance of DDP/LaF3 and LaDDP. We analyzed tribology performance of lubricant and compared the effect on improvement of tribology performance by adding additives into synthetic 20 aviation lubricating oil.
