Recently Fe-base metallic glass had been one of focus all over the world. It was characterized by cheaper price, good soft magnetism , abroad application and so on. It was limited to utilize in large fields because the forming ability of Fe-base amorphous was worse. So it was very important to find one effective way to study its metallic glass forming ability.In this paper the optimal components that was designed by CAPHAD for Fe—Zr —B ternary alloys was Fe80Zr6B14.The Fe-base suction casting samples Fe80Zr6B14, Fe78Zr7B15, Fe78Zr(10)B12, Fe82Zr3B15 in diameter of 2mm were prepared by copper mold casting. And prepared rods of Fe80-xCoxZr6B14 (X = 0,10,20,30) and Fe80Zr6B14-xSix (X=0,2,4,6 ) in 2mm diameter and Fe60Co20Zr6Cu1B5Si5-xCrx (X=1,2,3) in 1mm diameter.It was showed by XRD and DSC that samples were not completely amorphous with some diffractional peaks of Fe phase and Fe2B phase. The same phenomenon appeared in the rods of Fe80Zr6B14, Fe78Zr7B15, Fe78Zr10B12, Fe82Zr3B15 in 2mm diameter. But the best component was Fe80Zr6B14 by studying the intensity and FWMH of XRD. This was corresponding to the result by calculating form theory.Analyzing the XRD patters of Fe80-xCoxZr6B14 (X=0,10,20,30) samples it was show that the diffraction peak was the lowest when the X value was 30 with the addition of Co substituted for Fe. As to Fe80Zr6B14-xSix (X=0,2,4,6) system the addition of Si didn't lead to the peak of Fe low obviously, so it was concluded that the substitution of Si atomic for Fe atomic couldn't improve the forming ability .In this paper Fe60-xCo20Zr6Cu1B8Si5Crx (X=1,2,3) system were studied in the diameter of lmm with the similarity peaks. The relation of simply line between X and the forming ability of amorphous alloys were not reflected with the addition of X.
